I adore when couples make their wedding personal. Anne and Paul did just that by incorporating their mutual love for travel into their gorgeous September wedding.
Paul and Anne began chatting online in 2005, but it wasn't until 2007 when they finally met that their love story truly began. The relationship blossomed as they traveled across the globe together, and Paul popped the question on a trip to Dublin. The creative couple dove into wedding plans that would include a beautiful estate venue and lots of DIY touches.
Anne chose a scoop neck, short sleeve beaded-lace wedding gown embellished with a rhinestone sash. The wedding dress looked absolutely stunning on her, and fit perfectly with their theme. She wore her hair in a simple updo with curls falling around her face and completed the look with a rhinestone barrette.
The important ladies standing by her side looked lovely in lilac. Their V-neck chiffon bridesmaid dresses are ultra flattering, and very reminiscent of our Jayla dress. All the bridal party looks were complete with pink and lilac bouquets wrapped in white lace.
With fabric draped across the ceiling, string lighting, and gorgeous table settings, the couple turned this barn into a dreamy setting for their reception. Here is where they really brought the personal flair. Table settings included a polaroid of the couple at each setting, displaying many of the places they had traveled together. These DIY centerpieces included mason jars wrapped in hessian and lace, as well as bouquets with baby's breath and tiny daisies.
To continue the subtle travel theme, the couple decorated with a map marking the many places they have been and tagged it "Our Travels". Other details included a card box and seating card display made from vintage suitcases. The couple also created a #hashtag and made signs reminding guests to use it when they posted photos on social media, the perfect way to easily track down pictures after the big day. Touches like these make the wedding so much more personal and memorable!
Congratulations Anne and Paul! Your personal wedding inspired us.
